Dear Friends,
Today is Giving Tuesday. If you are like me, you are getting all kinds of appeals from non-profits to support their important work. TUCW joins the list with one exception: our mission is rooted in your spiritual life, a life of meaning and hope. From now until the end of the year, we invite you to make a special contribution to our Holiday Appeal. This gift is in addition to your generous pledges.
So many, like you, count on our congregation to be there in times of need and celebration. You also know that you’ll be treated with kindness and respect when you walk through our doors, by dedicated, compassionate people in a warm, caring environment. From our extensive pastoral care network to our embrace of young families and the issues they are facing to our outreach to other communities in need, ours is a House of Welcome and Support.
Your contributions have helped us remain as a leader in our community, offering a place to renew the Spirit, heal the hurting, lifting our hearts in music, teaching our kids the values and knowledge they will need, and providing a forum for a diversity of ideas and causes. We are so grateful to you for helping to create and support our congregation.
Your gift is important because it offers immediate resources that are directed to current needs and opportunities at the church. Let’s not lose the momentum. Your support is critical for moving forward. Your gift of $100 or more will help make an immediate impact on providing the means to reach out to so many in need of a liberal religious home. Please send your gift, of any amount, by check or VENMO (“The Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Westport”) or by clicking HERE. And please be sure to put “holiday appeal” in the memo line.
All of us are appreciative of your support. Your donation will make our community better. Right here. Right now. Thank you so much for your help.
Wishing your warmth and light this holiday season, Rev. John
