The organ. The roof. Sheila Lane. Frank’s departure. Margie’s departure. These are some issues that our congregation are still wrestling with, issues that stretch from 10 months to 10 years or more into the past. And there are certainly others. Congregations are organisms that have their own grief and healing process, and different people within the congregation are always going to be at different points in the process. Rev. Roberta, the Transitions Team and Odyssey would like to invite you to attend a Grief and Healing in Transitions workshop to help begin the work of accepting, owning and talking about the feelings (both good and bad) that these changes engendered, and to acquire the tools we need to step forward. The idea is to make this a safe, supportive space where we can disagree agreeably, and so celebrate and appreciate all that we have in common as UUs.
There are three more opportunities, each being held at a different time of day or day of the week to fit into a variety of schedules. They’re being held on:
Sunday, December 8, 2013 – 12:45-2:15 pm
(Babysitting will be available for the December 8th session in the youth room.)
We hope you can attend one of these thought provoking workshops — even if you don’t think you have any issues, come and lend an ear to those that do!
All will be held on the main floor of the Meeting House.
You can RSVP on the sign-up sheets that will be in the foyer or send Odyssey an e-mail, or if you can’t e-mail, please call the office at
227-7205.
