Communications at TUCW is handled by various staff and key volunteer working groups. They work together to ensure that the mission, ministries and programs of The Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Westport are communicated clearly to the congregation and the larger community. The working groups make sure that all external messaging is consistent with our mission and values, and coordinates internal communications so that the congregation has the information they need without experiencing overload.
In deciding on this name we wanted to convey an image of movement and blending the many small internal streams that make up our beloved congregation. Within these pages you will find news, reflections, creative writing and invitations to swim out into the strong current that is our church. Unlike our weekly newsletter “eSoundings” which keeps us up to date on what is about to happen in our church, Currents takes us deeper into what being in our community means. Staff and the Board President submit articles to Currents – a staff member may contact you about helping to write a piece about a group or task force that you may be involved with.

WEB SITE
The staff together with our webmaster, Charles Klein, maintains the website – UUWestport.org. The goal is to have information for the broader public easily accessible. While you can find some documents, such as materials for parents on activities for children, on the web site, there are more posted on the Groups pages in Realm. If you need an invite to Realm, please email a staff member.
If you would like something about a TUCW group, task force or committee, posted on the website, contact the staff anchor for that group.
