The Board of Trustees was asked to revise the description of responsibilities of the Nominating and Leadership Development Committee (NLDC) removing the “LD” or leadership development charge. In addition to this request, the Board was asked to reconsider a change made to the Constitution in 2011 that now states “To maintain membership, congregants must have made a pledge of financial support for the current fiscal year, and have made a payment toward a pledge for either the current or prior fiscal year.” Prior to 2011, to be a member of TUCW the requirement was “have individually, or as members of a family unit, made an identifiable financial contribution, regardless of amount, to the support of the Church.”
The Board will, at its January 17th meeting, appoint a Task Force to study these two requests and bring back to the Board by March 2017 a recommendation regarding these requests to amend the Constitution. To be considered for appointment to this Task Force, please e-mail your interest in participating to the Board of Trustees.
