Wendy began attending TUCW and teaching RE when her boys were 2 and 3 years old, around 1999. She joined Special Projects Choir sometime thereafter, and eventually Chamber Choir. It took voting for Rev John for her to “sign the book,” 17 years later. She was a member of Barbara Fast’s small group, and later was appointed to the Safer Congregations Committee, where she is now Chair. She was a member of the Intern Committee for the last 3 years. She helped develop the Immigration Community Support Network (ICSN), which together with attorneys assists immigrants facing deportation, and continues very active in that role. Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she moved to the United States for college, and later graduate school. She works as a clinical and forensic psychologist in Westport, in addition to being Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine.
