Water is the essence of all life. The movement and use of fossil fuels in our country endangers our ongoing access to quality water. Standing Rock call us to stand firm in the face of economic development that destroys our beloved natural home and its environment.
On Saturday, January 7th, from 4:30-8:30 pm, a second DRUMMING & TEACHING CIRCLE will be held here to awaken the meaning of these trends and invite us to live our seventh UU principle: Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
Hear numerous indigenous & community leaders share the principles of the Standing Rock Movement and how they can be applied in our own back yard.
For soup preparation planning, email Jim Francek with how many are coming from your home. Bring a dish to share & drums and rattles if you have them. If you are willing to help us in this effort please give Jim a call – 719-534-3338.
