We all share in the shock and sadness of the tragedy that unfolded today at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. To the best of our knowledge no one from our community or the Danbury congregation had a family member directly involved.

We will be going ahead with the annual holiday party of gingerbread making, potluck and carol sing tonight and we will have a special activity for those children and adults who want to express their love for all those affected in Sandy Hook. Please come out if only to be together and support one another.
RSVP with number of people making houses. Bring a dessert or hearty dish to share.
Sunday: A Service of Shared Concerns ~ 9:00 Service
The previously planned service has been changed in response to the tragedy. A Service of Shared Concerns will provide us all with time to share our grief and help support one another.
Sunday: Concert ~11:00 Service
The staff discussed whether or not to postpone the concert. All agreed that the concert should continue as planned, contrasting the beauty of the music with the events at Sandy Hook. There will be a period for sharing during the service.
Sunday: Candlelight Vigil ~ 4:00 Westport Town Hall Green
Members of Westport’s clergy will hold an interfaith candlelight vigil on Veterans Green across from Town Hall following the Newtown school shooting. In case of rain, the service will be moved inside to the Town Hall Auditorium.
