This evening will be informal, fun, and light-hearted, featuring a memorable repertoire of songs from The Alley Cats; folks will recognize many pieces, presented with fresh interpretations of rhythm, harmony and style. Songs will include those made famous by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Michael Bublé and Alica Keyes.

The Alley Cats are one of Yale University’s oldest a cappella groups on campus, having been founded in 1943. They were the first such Yale undergraduate group to tour internationally, and they continue to brighten up audiences around the world with extensive annual tour schedules. The Cats sing their own original arrangements, from jazz standards to Motown, bringing a "unique brand of perfected TTBB harmonies, stylistic expertise, and witty charm to destinations around the world." They have entertained the likes of Martha Stewart, Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, President Barack Obama, and her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, to name a few.

Soundwaves is the premier audition-only high school ensemble of Greenwich A Cappella, a dynamic K through 12 program with one clear mission: building confidence in young singers. The program is led by Artistic Director Lauren Regan, and Soundwaves is directed by UU Westport music director Micah Krajca.
