Special Ceremonies and Dedications
Weddings
We joyfully welcome weddings of all kinds, including LGBTQ+ couples and those from multi-faith backgrounds. Our ministers officiate weddings for members and non-members at UUWestport. Weddings in our sanctuary must be officiated by a UUWestport minister unless approved by the Senior Minister. Please contact the office for information about costs, availability, and capacity.
Child Dedication Ceremonies
We welcome babies and children into our community through a Child Dedication ceremony. This meaningful ritual may take place during a Sunday worship service or as a private ceremony at a time convenient for family and friends. It affirms our community’s promise to support families as they raise their child. Please contact our Director of Faith Formation for more information about dates.
Memorial Services
Our ministers can officiate a memorial service for members and non-members who have lost a loved one. The community also offers a bereavement group for those experiencing loss. Please contact the office for information about costs, availability, and capacity.
Meetings
UUWestport offers welcoming, flexible spaces for meetings, workshops, and community gatherings. Our rooms accommodate a variety of group sizes and include access to amenities such as Wi-Fi and audiovisual equipment (with an additional fee).
